Confirms to EN 300 676. With the exception of air traffic control services, the radio can be used as a ground radio station in Germany. The use e.g. for the call signs “Radio”, “Start”, “Rückholer”, “Verfolger” is approved. A frequency assignment must be applied for from the Bundesnetzagentur (Applies to Germany only).

The next generation of ICOM airband radios features higher transmission power for more range and a large display. The robust housing is dust-proof and waterproof according to the IP57 standard.
